A replica cocktail from Roka Akor, a restaurant in San Francisco. I first tried it 2025-05-24. The bartender didn’t know the exact proportions but knew the preparation steps.
Flavor profile
Smooth, herbal, not-too-sweet.
Ingredients
Habenero vodka
House sake (junmai style - least sweet)
Shochu (distilled soju. just a little bit)
Shiso leaf (don’t put in water, Keep in fridge)
Cucumbers
^ total 3oz after straining
Lime
Simple
Elderflower liqueur
Preparation
Top 3 alcohols in the ingredient list ⇒ add a bunch of shiso and cucumber, put it in a Ziploc so it won’t dissolve in hot water, cook for 10-15min
Cool it down and strain, add 1/2oz lime, 1/4oz elderflower liqueur, splash of simple.
Done!
For the top 3 alcohols, the proportions are roughly: 1 part (bottle) vodka 1/2 part sake 1/2 part soju
